Russia’s defence ministry has an announcement in regards to ‘new data’ on their fight against terrorism. The announcement will be made at 3pm Moscow time on 2nd December 2015. Could the announcement be more proof of Turkey’s involvement in oil trade with ISIS?
President Putin said this to President Hollande of France at a recent meeting;
“Vehicles, carrying oil, lined up in a chain going beyond the horizon. The views resemble a living oil pipe stretched from ISIS and rebel controlled areas of Syria into Turkey. Day and night they are going to Turkey. Trucks always go there loaded, and back from there – empty. We are talking about a commercial-scale supply of oil from the occupied Syrian territories seized by terrorists. It is from these areas [that oil comes from], and not with any others. And we can see it from the air, where these vehicles are going.”
If the Turkish President Erdogan has nothing to hide why is he leading the world on putting journalists in jail for doing their job? His latest attack on journalists came when it was exposed that reporters from Cumhuriyet newspaper revealed Turkish trucks were supplying arms into Syria.
The thing is Erdogan is an ally of the Coalition and of NATO and these allies have to defend him. If Russia comes out with more damning evidence do the allies keep defending Erdogan adding to their own loss of confidence from their people and member nations or do they kick him out of NATO?
President Erdogan has said he will resign if Putin has proof. Dictators don’t resign so I doubt he will resign and I don’t think they will kick him out of NATO but there may be a coup to kick him out of power and replace him with a less volatile puppet.
