Recently Reuters faked a story without real facts on Syria to use propaganda against Russia. The last faked story on Syria was from the BBC accusing Assad of keeping food from Damascus residents. ‘Recent mainstream media reports are suggesting that the elected Syrian government are responsible for the citizens of Madaya being held under siege and living in starving inhumane conditions. These mainstream media reports have been debunked by the truth and either corrected or withdrawn’. It does make one wonder when Russia and Syria are fighting ISIS but the western media seem to do what they can to discredit the 2 country’s progress.
According to Sputnik Reuters cited the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights to blame Russia for bombing a hospital and mosque. The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights is actually one man, Rami Abdul Rahman who visited Syria 15 years ago, in a unit in Coventry, England. The only problem with Reuters article is that Al Jazeera used the same photos 6 months ago to blame Russia for bombing a bakery that gives bread to nearly 45,000 displaced people. Another incident occurred in September 2015 when a Non Government Organisation (NGO) “white helmets” fabricated evidence and photos to blame Russia for airstrikes. They were found out when twitter users noticed the photo was from 5 days prior and by the fact that the Russian parliament had not yet authorised the use of the Air Force in Syria. White Helmets are funded by the US, UK, and the Syrian opposition and work mainly with the Al-Qaeda affiliate al-Nusra. Click HERE for an article on NGO’s and disinformation from them.
So when do we stop believing the propaganda that the mainstream media tell us? I know I’ve stopped believing their stories. They have their own agenda to follow whether it be to get people to read their articles for profit making purposes or whether it be to keep their financiers happy. They really do not care about anything else apart from having their readers/viewers believe their views. I suspect faked/misinformed stories will continue to happen because people believe them and look nowhere else.
