Just days after Bill Clinton met with the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Loretta Lynch on a private jet at an airport the FBI’s Director James Comey has made a statement pertaining to Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Apparently Hitlary has no case to answer for using private email for State Department business. According to RT Comey said ‘Clinton used “several different servers and mobile devices” to send and read emails on her personal domain during her tenure as Secretary of State from 2009 – 2013. Of the 30,000 emails turned over to the State Department, the FBI found 110 messages in 52 chains contained information that was classified at the time, of which eight were top secret, 36 were secret, and eight were confidential.
The FBI also found “several thousand” work related emails that had been deleted over the years.’ Comey also said ‘Clinton’s lawyers “cleaned” the devices used to host the email servers in a way that precluded further forensic discovery before turning them over to the bureau, the FBI is confident “there was no intentional misconduct”. He added that Hillary Clinton was “extremely careless”. So there we go, is extremely careless the kind of person we need to be the next President of the USA?
According to zero hedge INTENT is not a key consideration in this when deciding to press charges. The FBI are ignoring the US code which states under section 793, subsection (f), “Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information”. Nothing at all pertains to INTENT.
Letting Clinton walk free is blatant hypocrisy as many others have been charged for less. According to zero hedge one of those people is Brian Nishimura who was charged by the FBI less than a year ago for “unauthorised removal and retention of classified materials”. Brian Nishimura showed no intent in that case yet he received 2 years probation, $7,500 fine, and was required to surrender any security clearances he had.
Former Assistant Director of the FBI, Chris Swecker told CNBC that Comey should have brought charges forward and he was perplexed as to Comey’s statement saying that “no reasonable prosecutor would entertain prosecution”. He doesn’t think that’s the standard thing to do.
Then we have Private Manning (charged), CIA officer Jeffrey Sterling (charged), CIA officer John Kiriakou (charged), Julian Assange (hiding), NSA agent Edward Snowden (hiding), Retired Army General and CIA director (free), NSA executive Thomas Drake (free). Seems the higher up you are the freer you become.
The big question is how will the citizens take this news? Will there be upheaval on the streets? Will people not vote for her now? Will she become President? Only time will tell but the show should be a goody.
Some of Hillary’s crimes.....
