It’s a laugh isn’t it? No, not the sound you make at the back of your throat when you hear something funny, but the stupidity of the fools that run the country. According to a report by ABC online, Stephen Conroy (Australian labours defence spokesperson) on discussing the report that senior US military officers dodged the report on the war against Islamic state has said ‘We’ve all lived through the invasion based on false intelligence information. No one wants to see a repeat of that’. So when he said that was he talking about the invasion of Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan or Syria? He could have been speaking of either one. We now know there were no WMD’s in Iraq and it was invaded under false pretences yet Australia helped out. The Pentagon’s Inspector General is conducting an investigation into the allegations. Conroy then went on to say ‘I think everyone should be waiting on the report of the Inspector General and he’s an independent agency’. I don’t think anyone with a critical thinking brain believes that the Pentagon’s Inspector General is independent considering their first dot point of their mission statement is ‘supports the warfighter’. Maybe this is a way for Australia to get away from the US illegal wars.
I think the allegations will be dropped and the illegal bombing of Syria will continue or maybe Russia will rid Syria of Islamic State by itself after asking the permission of the leader of Syria which makes it legal. Let’s not also forget that there are always two sides to a story. President Assad’s interview dated September 17 can be viewed here.
