It looks like BP’s greed has won over common sense again. More of the big corporation employees getting away with, well murder. Even though one employee admitted to causing the environmental disaster he was let off;
‘Vidrine did plead guilty to violating the Clean Water Act and “admitted to negligently causing the massive oil spill that resulted from the disaster,” Justice Department spokesman Peter Carr said in a statement. The misdemeanour will likely result in 10 months of probation and 100 hours of community service.’
This kind of thing is going to be far worse than it is now if the TPP comes into force as is explained by Paul Craig Roberts (former sec of state under Ronald Reagan) in this interview. Big corporations will have their own court and will be able to sue for any reason that restricts trade or their profits. This interview is well worth listening to.
