Russian jet downed

A Russian SU-24 bomber has been downed by Turkey giving the reason of encroaching on Turkish airspace even though the crash site was 4 klms from the border. The Russian bomber was given 5 minutes warning to divert the situation. 5 minutes? Why would Turkey do this when they are all in the fight against ISIS together? Well Russia has been bombing ALL terrorists including moderates in Syria. Most of Syria’s oil is smuggled into Turkey through rebel held areas according to the financial times so one would think that Turkey would allow them to fly into their airspace as much as needed. Turkey also wants a no-fly zone near their border with Syria. Why?

The Kurds have been fighting ISIS all while Turkey has been fighting the Kurds. Even the New York Times are onto that situation. Turkey has been buying oil from the ISIS held oil fields. The US has given the Free Syrian Army (FSA)/‘moderate rebels’ anti tank weapons which was then forwarded to Al-Qaeda with thanks.

The US was not bombing oil fields or oil trucks. Russia has been so now the US has started too as well even though some of the footage used is Russian footage. The US also sends out pamphlet/leaflet drops to let the contractors driving the trucks know that they will be bombed and giving them 45 minutes warning. The leaflets state “Warning. Airstrikes are coming, oil trucks will be destroyed. Get away from your oil trucks immediately. Do not risk your life.” So are these truck drivers so blasé they don’t know that they are driving trucks for ISIS?

So who is actually fighting ISIS and who is still aiding ISIS? According to Business Insider Australia, Saudi Arabia has given the Syrian rebels anti tank weapons also. This is all apparently to fight the Assad regime. The so called regime has votes in their country unlike Saudi Arabia who have a monarchy/regime rule and are not democratic. Confused yet? Allies are Allies if they have what is wanted and give it to you.

finance and war

It looks as though one of Australia’s biggest financial groups are acting well, normal. You see according to ABC news Macquarie group are now denying compensation to clients who were caught up in the group’s financial scandal arguing that they didn’t give personal advice to their clients. How can the big financial corporation’s get away with these types of scandals?

According to Wikipedia ‘Macquarie bank maintains political connections through the appointment of former politicians and senior political staffers to senior positions’.

Macquarie Group also has very large investments in companies like Raytheon who are part of the military industrial complex. Raytheon not only make weapons but offer military training to government, military, and commercial customers. I wonder if President Obama used Raytheon’s training for the moderate rebels that defected to ISIL at a cost of $500 million to the US taxpayer.

The SMH reports Raytheon is not the only company in the industrial military complex Macquarie invests in. And they are not the only Australian financial company to cash in on war.

Now the US government has approved a $1.29 billion deal to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia who wants 19,000 more bombs. Will they continue to bomb Yemeni hospitals and innocent women and children? The SMH also reports that Australian superannuation funds are invested in this war machine.

So one invests in Macquarie who then invests in military companies such as Raytheon who then sell bombs to Saudi Arabia who then on sells them to............ but hey, as long as I get a dividend alls good right.

If one cares about this situation then find out where your super is invested. Most of us have no chance because we cannot withdraw it until retirement age and it sits there getting invested in whatever they want to invest in whether the owner has morals or not.

Some interesting reading in regards to the US central command lying about the effectiveness of air strikes on ISIL.

why is war waged ?

A famous quote from US Marine Corps Major General Smedley Butler 1881-1940:
“War is a racket. It is the only one International in scope. It is the only one in which profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.”

Another of his famous quotes:
“The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. Then the flag follows the dollar and the soldiers follow the flag… War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious…I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street… I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.”

Then there is this from retired 4-star US Army General Wesley Clarke:
“We’re going to take out 7 countries in 5 years. Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and finishing off, Iran.”

There are now currently human rights violations in Yemen by Saudi Arabia through bombing civilians, hospitals, and blockades of vital medical supplies and food. More than 800 women and children have died so far.

Remember this when the Saudi king passed away. Australia’s Governor General went to Saudi Arabia to give condolences to Saudi’s instead of celebrating Australia Day. Saudi Arabia must be an important ally.

Now the US has approved a weapons deal to Saudi Arabia of $1.29 billion US just one month after approving combat ship sales to the Saudi’s worth $11.25 billion US.

A Human Rights Watch report on Saudi Arabia 2015. It doesn’t look pretty but their US allies are concerned, and troubled. So in other words nothing will be done.

Now President Putin has come out and said at the G20 meeting that some member countries of the G20 are funding ISIS. You also will not here that in the western media.

President Putin is now bombing ISIS oil trucks and oil fields because the US wouldn’t.

Major General Smedley Butler would, I think, be turning in his grave.

a job ad of the future?

With the way things are going with job creation I have come up with a new idea for the government to give the registered training organisations (RTO’s) a new certificate and employment. The RTO’s will then have to employ more trainers. Voila, job creation.
